Lester Kipp has passed to His Lord. He was the loving husband of Claire (Marchessault) for 64 years and had seven wonderful children. Les was born in Hudson, NY on July 14, 1933 to Martin and Anna Kipp. He is predeceased by his parents and sister.

 

 Les will be missed by his children, Kathleen, Martin (Lisa), Colleen (Curtis), Anita, Mona (Gene), Lester, and James (Claudia). His grandchildren are Shawn, Benjamin, Lauren, Jonathan, Mary Claire, Christopher, Joshua, Alexandra, Allegra, Lillian, Victoria, Isabelle, Emmanuel, Antonio, Montana, Brandon, Zach, Charlotte, Nicole and Sarah and nine great grandchildren.

 

Lester attended Christian Brothers Academy and Hudson High and played tennis. He graduated from St. Michael’s College in Burlington, VT with a BS in business. He then joined the army, was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA and earned expert marksmanship metals. After an honorable discharge he joined the State Bank of Albany earned all three AIB certificates and won several public speaking contests. After eight years he entered New York State employment and helped design the NYS Lottery System and was an administrator for many departments.

 

He was president of the Albany Photography Club and won several awards. He taught at Empire State College. He loved his family, traveling and cruising. Les played tennis in the Space Coast League. He was a communicate of St. John’s Catholic Community, Viera, FL

Most of all he loved his wife who did such a wonderful job raising seven wonderful children.
