Lessel Vance Pitts, 77, of Arthurdale, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh following an extended illness. He was born October 11, 1934 in West Milford the son of the late Clarence P. Pitts and Ada Viola Hurst Pitts. He is survived by his nephew Keith McBee of Arthurdale with whom he made his home and niece Ada McBee and several other nieces and nephews and three sisters-in-law; Lila June Punch, Supply, NC, Lillian Steinberg, Manheim, PA and Louise Pitts, Painsville, OH. He was preceded in death by six brothers; C J Pitts, Blaine Pitts, John Howard Pitts; Robert Pitts; Morris Pitts and Richard Pitts and two sisters; Christian Sheehan and Martha Hazel McBee. Lessel was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a WWII veteran having served in the Air Force.
