SNAY, Leslie “Buck”, Of Kalamazoo, MI. Les passed away Wednesday evening, August 26, 2009 at Kairos Dwelling. He was born May 8, 1918 in Manistee, MI, the son of Lewis and Josephine Olsen Snay. Les was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.
He was employed by James River Paper Co. for 33 years until his retirement. On Jan. 10, 1960, Les was united in marriage to Aileen Berg, who preceded him in death on February 19, 2004. Also preceding him in death were a brother, Robert “Bobby” Snay, and a sister, Dorothy Peckham.
Surviving are his daughter, Carol Elaman of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren, Heidi Schuyler and Bobby Elaman; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
