Leslie Gene Key was born on November 29, 1958 to the late Clyde Eugene Walker and the late Bessie Mae Key Mason. He was raised by his mother and stepfather the late Jimmy (Man) Mason, Jr. He departed this life on August 24, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus.
Leslie confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Pentecostal House of Prayer under the leadership of Elder A.C. Strong.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a stepmother, Lillie Walker of Cleveland, OH; one step daughter, Erica James; four sisters, Janease (Bobby) Elliott who was also his caregiver, Louise (James) Smith Jr., both of Decatur, Dillard Denise H (Winfred) Crutcher of Athens, AL, Martha Jean of Cleveland, OH and Cynthia Mason of Madison, AL, who was raised as his sister; three brothers, Mike, Ricky and Jimmy Walker of Cleveland, OH; three uncles, Robert James (Dora Mae) Key, Cleveland Mason and Ernest Mason all of Decatur; seven aunts, Clara M. Mason, Mary Lucas and Areitha Stone all of Decatur, Dr. Ernestine Mason of Athens, AL, Billy Jean, Rickie Dean and Dianne all of Macon, GA; two great aunts, Beatrie Torain Coffey and Annie V. Torain of Hillsboro, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
