Leslie Franklin “Buddy” Lambrecht was born on October 30, 1960, to Leslie and Ella May (Stuart) Lambrecht. Buddy died peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2022, with his family by his side. Buddy fought a courageous battle with MS.

On September 1, 1984, he married his high school sweetheart Robin (Posey) Lambrecht. They recently celebrated 37 years of marriage.

Buddy attended Canon City Schools and graduated from CCHS in 1979. While at CCHS, he excelled in athletics and academics receiving many awards. Buddy was a long-time youth sports coach. He coached the youth football Broncos for 16 seasons. He also coached the Tiger youth basketball and baseball teams. He was active in the Noon Lions Club for many years. He was named Lion of the year and Melvin Jones Fellow. He graduated from the University of Southern Colorado in 1984 with a BSBA. He also graduated from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, with his MBA degree. Before his health would not allow it, Buddy enjoyed outdoor activities such as running, hiking, biking, and camping with family and friends. After graduating from college, he worked at First National Bank for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife; son, Brendon; daughter, Emily; sisters, Dixie Lambrecht and Penny Lambrecht; and in-laws, Robert and Janet Posey. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Erica (Andy) Hildebrand, and numerous nieces and nephews. Buddy is preceded in death by his son, Bryan; his parents; sisters, Nancy Martin and Elaine Leonard; sister-in-law, Lori Posey; and nephew, Shayne O’Bannon.

Buddy wants to thank his family and friends for the many fun trips and time shared with their children, whether camping at Cutty’s or Alvarado, survivalist trips to Sand Creek, or coaching.
