Leslie Dewitt Clonts, 94, of East Brainerd went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 16, 2009 in a local hospital. He would have been 95 on February 5th. Mr. Clonts was the son of John M. and Myrtle Wilhoit Clonts of Apison,Tn. Mr. Clonts served his country during WW II at the Pentagon Building in Washington DC and in the Philippean Islands as a Military Police Officer and he obtained the rank of 1st Lt. Before retiring ,Mr. Clonts owned Leslie Clonts Realty. He was one of the first realtor’s to establish an office in the Tyner-East Brainerd area. This was at the time the TNT plant was in operation and he had the opportunity to assist many people coming into the Chattanooga area who were employed at the plant. Mr.
