Leslie Ann (Varner) Smith, age 61 of Hope, passed away Friday morning November 19, 2021 at her residence. The daughter of the late Paul C. and Rosemary J. (Hicks) Varner was born in Flint on March 18, 1960. Leslie was a 1978 graduate of Chesaning High School. She had recently retired from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. Leslie enjoyed gardening, traveling, boating, camping, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids.
Surviving is her husband of 34 years, Claude Smith of whom she married on September 12, 1987; children, Colette (Kent) Wilson of Mt. Pleasant, Bethanie (Duane) Richardson, Bradley (Megan) Smith all of Saginaw; grandchildren, Landyn Wilson, Jordan Richardson, Kobe Richardson; siblings, Dana Killian, Sandy Mills-Alford, Lisa (Dennis) Gettys.
