Lesley J. (Alexander) Ferro Burton, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She was born on September 6, 1960, in Shelbyville, to her parents, Scott and Joanne (Swinford) Alexander.
She graduated from Southport High School, in 1978. She served in the United States Army and was stationed in Texas. After one tour of duty, in Germany, she lived in Reno, Nevada. Recently, Lesley reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Jim Burton, and they married in December, 2011. She worked as a Teletech for AMG-Indiana. Lesley enjoyed flower gardening, reading, and cooking. She loved taking care of others, especially her family.
Lelsey is survived by her husband, James Burton of Indianapolis; four children, Katy (Pat) Bytnar of Gary, Gatlin (Heather) Ferro of Carlisle, Drew Burton of Indianapolis, and Joe Burton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her parents, Scott and Joanne Alexander of Flat Rock; one sister, Debbie (Jerry) Chambers of Indianapolis; two brothers, Ron (Judy) Cook of Florida, and Mark (Michelle) Alexander of Brazil, Indiana, and two grandchildren, Alexander and Kingsten Ferro.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wade Cook.
