On March 24, 1970, a radiant light was added to the world. Lesley Cynthia Johnson, beloved daughter of Dorothy Johnson, was born. Lesley, lover of all things “purple” and of people has left her mark on this world forever. Her sunny smile and positive attitude has brightened the day and lightened the hearts of countless people and given them something to smile about.
To her friends. Lesley was the consummate companion. Her friendships thrived in a peaceful environment that always remained judgement free. She was fun, loved to travel and always up for an adventure. She was confidante because she was trusted and could keep a secret. She was Godmother, “Purple Mom” (only Kennan and her sons know what that means… lol) and play aunt to her friend’s children and was always the most excited when a new baby was on the way. She loved life and adored all of her friends.
To her family, she was the baby to be spoiled and she reveled in that role. Her secret power, however, was her ability to let you think you were taking care of her, while the truth was, she was very quietly taking care of you. She required no fanfare, recognition or attention, but each member of her family can recount countless times that Les was just very quietly there, supporting, helping, always smiling and loving.
At her core, Lesley was an educator. It has been her life’s work to make learning the fun experience she always enjoyed. She started this journey when she began her own education, graduating with honors from Brentwood Ross High School.
