Leroy Talbert, 65, of Flemingsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2016, at his residence.

Born in Fayette County, Kentucky on September 1, 1950, Leroy was a son of the late Ernest and Mary Beech Talbert.

Leroy attended Western Kentucky University and was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. For 38 years, he worked as a certified welder for Dayton Power and Light (DP&L) in Manchester. Leroy was a long time Mason serving as the Master of Acacia Lodge #24 of Maysville, KY, a member of Herman Chapter #8 Maysville, KY, a member of Holy Royal Arch Mason. He was 1st. Lt. of Hiram Consistory 123 of Covington, KY, and was also a member of United Supreme council of 33rd degree Masons of the Southern Jurisdiction PHA. He was a member of the Ambassadors Club in Maysville. He attended Strawberry United Methodist Church and was a member of New Zion UMC. He loved fishing and hunting and was known as a master griller.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Prather Talbert; his daughter, LeAhna Marie Talbert; brothers, Gary Talbert, Courtney (Janis) Talbert, Everett (Mary) Talbert and Derek Talbert; sisters, Ernestine Harris, Flora Jean Figgs, Fannie (Tyrone) Smith, LaFerne (Gordon) Berry, Darcy Talbert and Deidreah Talbert; special nephews, R. T – Wuan Prather and Andre Harris; brother and sister-in-laws, Sam Prather, James C. (Freda) Prather, Eleanor J. Smothers, and Tassa J. Wigginton; several nieces and nephews; along with many friends and extended family.
