Leroy Willis Schmidt, 90, of Elizabeth, Colorado was born on December 19, 1930 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. He passed away on January 2, 2021 in Parker, Colorado. Leroy graduated high school in Lamberton, MN, in 1948. After high school he joined the Army serving as a Corporal for 2 years.. On September 15, 1951 in Lumberton, MN, Leroy married Janice Sorenson.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Schmidt, a daughter Janelle Mach and a son Jon Schmidt all of Elizabeth,, Colorado, a son Robert Schmidt of Coeurd’Alene, Indiana, and a brother, Vernon Schmidt of Peyton Colorado. He also leaves behind many grandchildren: Jonathan, Jared, Jaimie, Brandon, Ashleigh, Aspen, Hanna, Sam, and Macy. Leroy and Janice also have 9 great-grandchildren: Chase, Holly, Reid, Dawson,, Eliah, Micah, Logan, Piper, and Milo.
Leroy was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Kate Schmidt, 2 brothers, Alan and Donavon Schmidt, and a granddaughter Aubrey Mach.
