Leroy O’Neal Kirkland, age 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Loxley, Alabama. He was born in Enterprise, Alabama on May 12, 1940 to James Vestus Kirkland and Ollie Jessie Kirkland. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and he also retired from Sprint Telephone Company. He was Baptist by faith and he loved to fish, and work in his yard and garden, and he graduated from Choctawhatchee High School.
Leroy is survived by his wife of 13 years Glenda Kirkland, his sons; James Steven and wife Kathy of Hendersonville, NC, and David Dwayne and wife Gina of Crestview, Florida, stepson; Mark Josey and four step-grandchildren , Brother; James Ennis Kirkland of Hartford, Alabama, Sister; Joyce Meador (Windsor) of Jasper, Georgia, Grandchildren; Krystal Marie, Ashlee Nicole, Daniel Jay, and many “special” friends and relatives. His final days were spent surrounded by his family and friends reminiscing just how he touched our lives.
