Leroy Mills, Jr., 87, Macy, passed away early Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at his home.
He was born October 1, 1923 in Macy, IN, the son of Cecil and Ruth Mills. He married Margaret Louise Zartman on April 27, 1946 who preceded him in death on December 20, 2009.
Leroy was an avid farmer who enjoyed a hard day’s work. He was a proud member of the North Miami school board for 13 years and missed only one meeting due to surgery while on the board.
Those surviving include his sister, Jeanette Hunter, Peru; sisters-in-law, Harriet Zartman and Sue Mitchell; children, Linda Mills, Indianapolis, Jan Pike and spouse Jim, Indianapolis, Curt and wife Barbara Mills, Macy, Kent and wife Sharon Mills, Denver; grandchildren, Jessica Pike, Indianapolis, Adam Pike, Indianapolis, Nathan Vandermark, Denver, Myranda Rusie, Portland, OR; one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, his brothers, Richard Mills and Myron Mills, sister, Arlene Balsbaugh and his wife of 63 years, Margaret Mills, precede him in death.
