LeRoy enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 and was proud to serve in the Seabees during WW II. In 2002, he was awarded an honorary high school diploma from Lee County, Florida Dept. of Education, of which he was most proud. LeRoy loved his family, his friends, and he loved life! He never met a stranger. He worked hard and enjoyed summer family vacations, and in later years, he and Myrna enjoyed traveling together. He lived his life with courage, always for others to the very end. He leaves a legacy of love and a giving spirit. We love and miss you, Dad. We’ll always remember to turn out the lights and to shut the refrigerator door!
