Leroy E. Bumpus a lifelong resident of Plymouth, passed away on July 23, 2019 at Life Care Center, Plymouth, at the age of 93. He was the beloved husband for forty-three years to Anna (Richmond) Bumpus of Plymouth. He was the loving father of Helen Bumpus of Plymouth, Kathy Bumpus of Marlborough, and Robin Hart of Arizona. He was the grandfather of David, Rebecca, Daniel, Rachel, Travis and Dylan; great grandfather to eleven and great-great grandfather to two. He was the brother of Allen, Roland, Albert and Richard Bumpus. He leaves his sister-in-law, Louise Knight and two nieces, Kathleen McGovern of Pennsylvania and Roberta Knight of Haverhill. He also, leaves his Godchild, Amy Dries of Plymouth. Leroy leaves his family pets, Milky Way and Foxy. Leroy was born on May 3, 1926 in Plymouth to Allen W. and Ethel Frances (Knight) Bumpus. He worked for W.T. Grants and Superior Pet Products and was a former Park Plymouth Officer for the town of Plymouth and took part in the First Aid Training Program. Leroy was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1822, where he volunteered during BINGO games. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching television. He also enjoyed going to Cozy Corners and visiting with the staff and clients.
