Leroy Jr. was born November 3, 1955 in Santee, South Carolina to Leroy Sr. and Mattie Mae Davis Bull. The family moved from South Carolina to Tampa, Florida in 1956.
Jr. grew up in Tampa and attended the Hillsborough County Public Schools, including H. B. Plant High School. After High School, Jr.
Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Sr. and Mattie Mae Davis Bull and his brother, Pastor Larry Bull.
Jr. leaves to cherish and celebrate his life and memory devoted family members including: his sisters, Valarie Johnson Nichols (Michael) and lona Thornton Brown (Michael); nieces, Angela Renaye Johnson (Christina) and April Nicole Sailor (Ricky); nephews, Robert Lee Johnson, Kevin Thornton and James E. Thornton (Anitress); grand nieces and nephews, Destiny Hairston, Briana Sailor, Nyla Thornton, Yazmyn Thornton, James E. Thornton III, Justus Thornton, Naomi Thornton and Jordan Thornton; one great grand nephew, Malachi Thornton; plus numerous other relatives and friends including, Carlton Lofton, a true and devoted lifetime friend to Jr.
