Leroy Buchanan, 80, of Jacksonville, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 20, 1929 in Jacksonville, the son of Curtis and Dorothy Dennis Buchanan. He married Audrey Stephenson on March 9, 1955 in Jacksonville and she survives.
He is also survived by one son, David of Jacksonville and one daughter, Diane (John) Craig of New Berlin; two brothers, Byron of Jacksonville and Paul of Warner-Robbins, GA; one sister, Betty Gordon of Florida. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Harold and Donald Wayne; and one sister, Opal Murdock.
Mr. Buchanan was a 1948 graduate of Jacksonville High School. He worked at Passavant Area Hospital in the housekeeping and laundry departments for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and playing the guitar.
