Leroy A. Weihe, 85, of Beckemeyer passed away Monday January 17, 2011 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese.
Leroy was born June 8, 1925 in Hoyelton, Illinois the son of Adolf and Edna (Vogt) Weihe. He later married Elfreda Reichert on January 24, 1953 she preceded him in death on July 20, 2006.
Leroy is survived by a son; Don Reichert of Kenosha, WI., two sisters; Elvera Groeschel of Giddings, Texas, Elaine Robbins of Pflugerville Texas, two nephews; Larry Weihe of Beckemeyer, Jerry Reichert and wife Rose of Blue Mound, Texas. Two grandchildren; Brad Reichert and wife Laura, Tim Reichert and wife Sarah. Three great grandchildren; Joshua, Maya, and Thea Reichert.
Mr. Weihe was a served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Holthaus-Kampwerth American Legion Post 1227 in Beckemeyer and also served as a volunteer with the Beckemeyer Fire Department.
