LeRoy A. “T-Balls” Taylor of Burlington passed away at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center, Mt. Holly on Friday at the age of 86. He was born in Florence and was one of 7 to the late LeRoy and Leona Taylor. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and then worked as a chemical operator for Hercules.

He loved The Lord, belonged and worshipped at Broad Street Baptist Church in Mt. Holly, volunteered at Hope Fire Company in Burlington, enjoyed eating meals, was an avid gardener and liked to tell all that he loved life. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley Taylor (Nee: Appleton) and his children Pollyann Race and Richard Thompson.

He is survived by his children: Teresa Coppola, Douglas and Andrea Taylor, John and Ellen Thompson, Sue and Rev. Dennis Anderson, Randy Thompson, Timothy and Kathleen Thompson and a daughter in law Estrella Thompson. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren who were the joy of his life.
