Brother Lermis Earl Lightfoot was born May 25, 1956 in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late George and Katherine Lightfoot. He was married to Belinda Rayborn August 22, 1981, one son Kendrick Lightfoot, was born to this union.
Brother Lermis Lightfoot departed this life at Huntsville Hospital on Monday, January 21, 2013. He committed his life to Christ in 1980 and joined Mary’s Temple Church of God in Christ, now known as Grace Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. Later he joined Solid Rock Christian Center in Huntsville, AL.
There he served as a deacon, elder, Sunday school teacher and on the pastor’s aid committee. Brother Lermis served faithfully until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Katherine Lightfoot, one brother: Michael Hollins, five sisters: Alexine Lightfoot, Marylean Lightfoot, Gladiolus Clay, Rosie E. Davis and Jacquelyn Lightfoot Lee, and two brothers-in-law: Reed Jones and James Reed.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife Belinda, one son Kendrick Lightfoot; 11 siblings, Bertha M.
