Leota Claire Calene McIntyre of Moscow died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Good Samaritan Moscow Village. She was 88. Leota was born January 15, 1928 in St. Joe, Idaho to Colonel William and Dorothy Beck Smith. She grew up and attended school at Bovill, graduating from there in 1946. She and Willis Calene were married on February 7, 1947 in Moscow. They made their home in Bovill and Troy where she worked as the high school secretary and later as secretary for the superintendent of the White Pine School District. Willis died in December of 1973. On March 25, 1978 she married Bud McIntyre in Coeur d’Alene. They lived in Spokane, and she returned to Moscow and Pullman six years ago.
