Leopold Newson Wolff, 100, passed away on May 23, 2009. He was born December 25, 1908, in Anderson, Indiana to Felix and May Newson Wolff. They have preceded him in death. Leo worked as a photoengraver at several companies in Anderson and Indianapolis for many years, retiring in 1973.
In May 1929 Leo and Alice Boyd Wolff were united in marriage. Sons Ronald and Donald were born from this union. After her early death, Leo united in marriage with Jeanette Howard Wolff in 1939. They had a son Lee. Leo and Jeanette raised all their children with love, Jeanette having adopted Leo’s other children. Jeanette passed away in June 2002.
Leo enjoyed growing tomatoes and house plants. He was a Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Papa. His brother Willard preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons Ronald Wolff of Anderson, Donald Carolyn Wolff of Pasadena MD. and Lee Linda Wolff of Fishers, Indiana; and brothers Howard Wolff of San Jose, CA, and Marvin Wolff, Sr. of Anderson, IN. There are five grandchildren – Jeanette Wolff, Tracy Mark Maleski, Joshua Ruth Wolff, Rachel Wolff, Peter Wolff, and one great-grandchild; Gabriela Maleski.
He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of CJ’s Abundant Care and Countryside Manor for their loving support and care.
