Leontine M. (Koch) Nauman, 97, of Peoria, IL, formerly of Metamora, IL, passed away peacefully at her youngest daughter’s home in Peoria, IL on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
She was born on May 4, 1924 in Metamora to Walter P. and Kathryn M. (Stang) Koch. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Metamora Township High School and married Robert T. Nauman in Metamora on March 6, 1943. He preceded her in death on March 22, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister Jean A. Miller, and one brother Duane E. Koch.
Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl M. Westerfer of Walkerton, IN, Carol F. (Randy) Wilcox of Cedar Springs, MI, and Charlene A. (Randy) Tolf of Peoria; three sons, Rodney E. (Bonnie) Nauman, Robert J. (Lucy) Nauman, and Randy L. Nauman all of Metamora; three sisters, Barbara (Dale) Stalter, Marilyn (Larry) Mullins, and Myrna (Bill) Dentino; four sisters-in-law, Nancy (Duane) Koch, Theresa (Alvin) Harms, Betty (Raymond) Nauman, and Patricia (Eugene) Nauman; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Leontine was a mother and homemaker first and had a few various occupations through the years. She was a really good cook and baker. She loved country music and playing the guitar and piano. She especially loved playing card games and dominoes in her later years.
