Leonial “Ray” Mitchell, 83 of Martinsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was born to the late Paul and Bertha Mitchell.
Leonial loved to garden, western movies, loved popcorn and watching boxing. He had one killer hook shot in basketball.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rebecca Mitchell; six children, Pamela (Rex) Martin, Diana (Bill) Kennedy, Michael Mitchell, Randal Mitchell, Teresa (Dennis) Copeland and Tom ( Kelly) Mitchell; eight grandchildren, Kevin Martin, Zandra Martin, Nate (Jill) Kennedy, Daniel (Brittanee) Kennedy, Zach (Amber) Kennedy, Jayma Copeland, Natalie Copeland, Gavin Copeland, Jonah Mitchell and Annabelle Mitchell; six great grandchildren; a sister, Virgina Richards and three brothers, Gary (Alice) Mitchell, Evan ( Carolyn) Mitchell and Wayne Mitchell. Leonial is preceded in death by a sister Vivian Kern and a brother Loris Mitchell.
