Details: Leonard “Stick” J. Simmons, Jr., 55, a lifelong resident of Maryland died on July 19, 2009 at Gilcrest Hospice House. He was born on May 20, 1954 in Havre De Grace, Maryland to the late Leonard J., Sr. and Theresa Simmons. Mr. Simmons graduated from Glen Burnie High School in the early 1970’s. He worked for 34 years as a machinist for Koppers/Kop Flex retiring in 2006. Mr. Simmons enjoyed fishing, crabbing and hunting. He is survived by his sons Charles R., Leonard III, Jesse A. Simmons all of MD, his daughters Amy Simmons, Elaina Bellas, and Giovanna Bellas all of MD, his companion Jan Bellas, his sister Kathleen Evans of Severn, and his grandchildren Nathan, Liley, and Kayla Simmons all of Maryland.
