DURHAM- Mr. Leonard Morris Wilkins, Sr.,77, passed away Monday October 22, 2018, at Duke Hospital.
Mr. Wilkins was born November 3, 1940 to Harvey and Margaret Wilkins in Durham, NC. “Tiny” owned and operated Budget Siding, in Rougemont, for 25 years. He was a volunteer firefighter in Cary, NC, and was a member of the Cary Optimist Club. “Tiny” liked to be outside and loved to take his grandchildren to different places. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Wilkins will be deeply missed by those blessed to have known him.
Mr. Wilkins is preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Margaret Wilkins; brother, Harvey Wilkins, Jr.; grandson, Alex Wilkins.
Mr. Wilkins was survived by his wife of 51 years, Viola Wilkins; daughter, Wendy Batten and husband Chuck; sons, Leonard Wilkins, Jr., Frank Wilkins; brother, Everette Wilkins; sister, Carolyn Tindall; grandchildren, Summer Wilkins, Frank Wilkins, Ashley Wilkins, Blessing Wilkins, Nicholas Batten, Lucas Batten; great grandchild, Jaden Mitchell; and other loving family members.
