Colonel Leonard “Lenny” F. Nolan, Jr. (retired) passed away on Tuesday, Aug 16th at Liana Living Memory Care in Venice, FL after a long battle with Dementia. Lenny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy (Flynn) Nolan, his son Michael Nolan, his daughter Leigh Wolnik and his grandchildren, Lauren, Erin and Luke Wolnik and Brooke Nolan. He was the son of the late Leonard F. & Ellen (McDewell) Nolan Sr.
Lenny was a retired Colonel from the New Hampshire Air National Guard where he was the 157th USAF Clinic Commander. In 1978, the same year he assumed command of the clinic, Lenny was named Air National Guard Advisor to the Air Surgeon at the National Guard Bureau. As a Dentist, Lenny was the first non-physician commander of a clinic in New Hampshire.
Lenny enjoyed fishing and photography. He loved his family and was always someone who would bend over backward to help a friend.
