Leonard D. Sigley

Leonard D. Sigley, 80, of Rowlesburg died Friday, October 23, 2015 at his home with family by his side.

He was born September 25, 1935, in Etam, a son of the late Acie B. and Bertha Evelyn Funk Sigley Knotts.

Mr. Sigley was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a graduate of Rowlesburg High School, Class of 1953; worked as a mechanic and in road construction. He also served in the US Army with tours of duty in Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Newport News, VA and Tacoma, WA.

He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Sigley; three sisters, Shirley Colebank of Orlando, FL, Linda Pyles of Albright and Sue Flynn of Rowlesburg; two brothers, Arthur Sigley and Ronald Knotts, both of Rowlesburg; a daughter, Bonny Sypolt of Etam; three sons, Ricky Sigley and wife, Susan of Elkins, Rusty Sigley and wife, Doreen of Great Falls, MT and Roger Sigley and wife, Ruth of Salt Lake City, UT; nine grandchildren, Kenny Sypolt, Rustie Noble, Kasaundra Sypolt, Ricky Sigley, II, Ryan Sigley, Chelsea Sigley, Riley Sigley, Heather Provencher and Stefanie Provencher; 12 great-grandchildren, Cole, Kiara, Rilee, Avery, Tavin, Fallyn, Hailey, Taylor, Emily, Briceson, Chaeden and PJ.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Burns and Gertrude Poling, a brother, Lester Sigley and his son-in-law, Michael Sypolt.
