LOUISVILLE/NORTH CANTON – Leonard D. Robbins, age 95, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born January 29, 1923 in Salem, the son of the late Donald and Hilda (Leatherberry) Robbins.
Leonard was an electrical engineer for the Ohio Power Co., retiring in 1988 with 37 years of service.
He was a member of the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith in Salem.
Leonard was a 1941 graduate of Salem High School and received an Electrical Engineering degree at Fenn Engineering, now Cleveland State.
Leonard served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
His wife, Lona (Riffle) Robbins, whom he married August 12,, 1949, preceded him in death May 12, 2015.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy (Terry) Martin of Green; a son, Alan (Terrie) Robbins of Louisville; two granddaughters, Ashley Robbins of Fairlawn and Sarah Robbins of Louisville.
A brother, Allen and a sister, Virginia Pilch also preceded him in death.
