Leonard C. Greig, Jr., 91, of Glen Burnie, passed away on September 26, 2014 at the Mandrin Inpatient Care Center. He was born in Pennsylvania on December 6, 1922 to the late Margaret and Leonard C. Greig, Sr. Leonard served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a Prisoner of Foreign War and received numerous medals including: Air Medal, European, African and Middle East Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Purple Heart and the Caterpillar Pin. He was a longtime member of the Crofton Golf Club, Boumi Temple, Disabled American Veterans, Elks Lodge, Mason Lodge and the Purple Heart Association. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, fishing and hosting parties. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Greig; daughter, Cindy Melchor; and four brothers, Deanie, Blaine, Bill and Hen Greig.
Leonard is survived by his children, Judy Arbic and her husband George and Leonard C. Greig, III and his wife Patricia; five grandchildren, Lisa O’Donnell, Greig Melchor, Joseph Melchor, Leonard C. Greig, IV and Andrew Greig; four great-grandchildren, Molly, Casey, Justin and Ezra; four great-great-grandchildren, Brianna, Landon, Natalie and Carlie; and seven siblings, Clarence Greig, Bernice Hitchins, Margie Fritz, Nancy Hetz, Clara Miller, Sandra Wilhelm and Carol Hershberger.
