Leona J. Scharfenberg McCloskey, 91, Anderson, died December 16, 2008 at Community Northview, Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born March 4, 1917 in Streeter, Illinois, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. since 1964. She was the credit manager at Montgomery Ward for 15 years and Spiegal for 3 years. She was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her two stepdaughters, Constance Glover of Fairport, New York and Barbara Wiggins of Syracuse, New York; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; nephew, Phillip Schleuter and nieces, Jane Somera and Caroll Risley.
She was preceded by her husband whom she married November 16, 1954, Richard K. McCloskey who passed away August 21, 1996; parents, Robert & Henrietta Jaeger Scharfenberg; stepson, Keith McCloskey and sisters, Meta Schleuter and Henrietta Scharfenberg.
