Leona H. Jordanek, 95, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 5:05 p.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016 in her home. Leona was born on February 20, 1921 in South Bend to John and Bertha (Bukowski) Peczkowski. She retired in 1984 from Sobenite, where she was employed as a Press Operator. On November 25, 1954, in St. Stanislaus Church, she married Thaddeus “Ted” Jordanek, who preceded her in death on January 5, 1986. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mollie Sokol and Dolores Pajakowski; four brothers, Edward, Daniel, Bernard, and John Peczkowski; four sisters-in-law, Phyllis, Madalen, Kathryn, and Betty Peczkowski; and two brothers-in-law, Elmer Sokol and Donald Pajakowski. Leona is survived by three daughters, Dolores Wieczorkowski, Cynthia Kitt and Jeanine (Tim) Celmer all of South Bend, Indiana; her son, Joseph (Karen) Jordanek of Niles, Michigan; ten grandchildren, Suzi (Steve) Matthys, Elizabeth Kitt (Fiancee Adam Ruff), Alison (Hans) Westernik, Gabrielle Kitt, Clayton Celmer (Electra Frye), MaryLee Celmer, Matthew Celmer (Joanna Ritter), Adam Jordanek, Steven Creech, Lane (Josiah) Edwards; and six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Grant, and Luke Matthys; and Eliza Celmer, Evelyn Ruff, and Gabriel Ritter.
