Leon E. “Pete” Romani died Tuesday June 13, 2017 at his residence in Burlington Twp. at the age of 91. Born in Florence, Pete was a longtime resident of Burlington Twp. He was a navy veteran of World War II. He was retired from the maintenance department of the NJ Turnpike after many years of service. Pete was a member of the Victor Emmanuel Club, the Oneida Boat Club and VFW Post 1817, all in Burlington. In his spare time he enjoyed playing poker and taking trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

He will always be remembered as a family man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially dining out at many area restaurants. Pete was predeceased by his son Jeffrey. He is survived by his wife Lois (nee Loveland), his sons and daughter in law; Edward and Raelynn Romani and Anthony (Rose) Romani, his grandchildren; Tracy, Eddie, Brian and Alex and his great granddaughter Jamisyn.
