Leon Malinka, 85, of New Britain, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Born in Poland, he was a longtime resident of New Britain and was a member of Holy Cross Church, New Britain. He retired from Atlantic Machine Tool, Newington, after many years of employment. He especially enjoyed hockey and soccer. A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, he leaves his son Jerry Malinka and his wife Elizabeth of Berlin; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He also leaves a brother Chester Malinka and his wife Christine of New Britain; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife Krystyna Faterkowska in Poland. He was pre-deceased by his son Jack Malinka, and a sister Antoinette Malinka.
