Mr. Cantu was born June 2, 1943 in Bastrop, Texas, the son of Leon, Sr. and Nestora (Gonzales) Cantu. He married Angeline Mynar, in May of 1991 in Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janie Morales.
Survivors include his wife Angeline Cantu of Belton; three daughters, Sandy Muro and husband John of Temple, Wendy Schlegel of Katy and Patricia Thompson of Wisconsin; a son, Steve Blaha of Belton; four sisters, Elizabeth Lizcano, Martha Ortega, Josie Del Toro and Mary Ortega; twelve grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
