Leola Gladys Etheridge, of Middlefield, beloved wife of the late Charles F. Etheridge, Sr., passed away on March 18, 2014 six months shy of her 102nd birthday. Born in Lisle, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Leah (Richardson) Howe. In the century that spanned her life, Leola was born right before World War I, was a teenager during the Roaring 20’s, spent early adulthood in the Great Depression, became a wife at age 19, a mother at age 20, all before World War II, and lived a tremendously full life.
