Leola (Lee) Ann Wilkerson, born in Santa Fe, NM on June 15, 1942, passed away on May 23, 2022, after a short bout with lung cancer. She was 79 years old, missing her 80th birthday by a few weeks. She was preceded in death by her husband Doug, who passed away Dec 31, 2018.
Along with her friend and neighbor, Joyce Lasecke, Lee provided custom-made holiday cards all year round to each of the Shalom Park Nursing Home residents. Joyce and Lee ensured that every resident – as well as the staff members – received these artwork treasures throughout the year.
Lee is survived by her three children: Brenda who lives in north Idaho, Troy who lives in Aurora, CO, and LC who lives in southeast Ohio, plus five grandchildren: Austin Wilkerson, Carter Wilkerson, Lindsey Hackbarth, Seth Wilkerson, and Aiden Wilkerson.
