Leofredo Villarreal, Sr.
February 29, 1924 – September 2, 2021
Mr. Leofredo Villarreal Sr., age 97, of Harlingen, Texas entered eternal life with the Lord on September 2, 2021, at his home. A lifelong resident of Harlingen, he was born in Abram, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Consuelo G. Villarreal, his parents and all his siblings.Mr. Villarreal graduated from Harlingen High School and was a proud Marine serving during W.W. II. He served in the Pacific.
He is survived by his three children, Dolores (Pablo) Bazan, Fred (Kathy), and Danny (Blanca) Villarreal; eleven grandchildren; Jon (Kathryn), Jeff (Melissa), Melissa (fiancé, Daniel Bowen), Marissa (Edward) Krasnov, Danny (Tiffany), Shane, Justin (Samantha), Marina (Josh) Peregrino, Natalie (Frank) Shuman, Marla, and Julia (Jay) Cepeda; and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are sister-in-law, Aida Leston; brothers in law, Homero (Lorna) Galvan, Alfredo (Maria) Galvan, and Refugio Resendez; and many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank his wonderful caregivers, Rosa Castro and Mari Carmen Villarreal, Kindred Hospice, and the VA team led by Amy Alaniz.
A rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 7:00 p.m.
