Leo Uwe Hofmann, age 73 of Township of Washington and Seaside Park, NJ, passed away on March 31, 2020, with his loving wife by his side, and surrounded by his immediate family. A private service will be held. Leo was born in Hamburg, Germany on July 7, 1946, and immigrated to the United States when he was 9 years old, where he lived in The Bronx, New York with his parents and siblings.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. Leo graduated Concordia College, and had a successful thirty-year career in advertising with Bristol Myers Squibb and Proctor and Gamble. Leo was married to Sandra E. Hofmann (née Wadenklee), on March 25, 1972. They were married 48-years. Leo is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Bohnsack; his father, Thomas Herbert Hofmann; his step-father Rolf Bohnsack, and his half-brother Joaquin (“Jack”) Bohnsack.
Leo is survived by his wife, Sandra and their son Jess Hofmann and daughter-in-law Jennifer Donovan, and other family and friends.
