Leo Smith, age 89, passed away on February 27, 2009 at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
His childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 66 years, Eva Smith, precedes Leo in death. At last, he joins her again. Their compassion, support, and love for each other through richer or poorer, in sickness and in health is a model of what God intended. They thanked God each day for what they had and for what they didn’t have. Eva gave birth to their only child, Patricia, in 1942. Patricia was a loving and dedicated daughter her whole life.
Leo devoted over 35 years to working with others through the “Friends of Bill W.” He also worked tirelessly for over 30 years as a dedicated volunteer at the Bridgeway Center.
He leaves his loving daughter; Patricia Loukota and husband Robert, Sister; Pauline Cassley, Granddaughters and Great grandchildren; Lee Michele O’Neill and her daughter Erica, Robin Baugh, husband Mark and their sons Landon and Jackson, Nephew; Philip Bowen and wife Pat.
