Leo A. Engelman, 95, of Peru, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, at Manor Court in Peru. Mr. Engelman was born on January 23, 1923, in Peru to William and Philomena (Schmidt) Engelman.

He married Mary Jane Klug on September 21, 1946, at St. Valentine’s Church in Peru. Leo worked in cable television as a head technician for more than 38 years. Mr. Engelman was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru and was a ham radio operator for many years. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane; two daughters, Karen (Dennis) Panier of Peru and Janice (Bob) Bednar of Eau Claire, WI; four grandchildren, Julie Zelenski, Chad Panier, Sarah Boss, and Patrick Connolly; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Glenn, Casper, William, Sylvester, and Paul Engelman; three sisters, Vida Janka and two in infancy; and one son-in-law, Michael Connolly.
