Leo A. McMaster, age 90, formerly of Lincoln Park, passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and in Detroit, to John D and Veronica (Meagher) McMaster on May 24, 1931 into a strong Scottish and Irish heritage with four brothers (Jack, Gerard, Gerald and Bernie) and one sister (Ronnie). They grew up in SW Detroit and graduated from Holy served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War and became an Insurance agent and ultimately owning his own business. A new career later in life offered him the opportunity to be a Veteran Affairs Service Officer that supported and mentored the veterans for the state of Michigan. He retired at the age of ‘s smile would light up the room. His voice would boom through the house and his bear hugs could take your breath was a proud Marine, pool shark and self-appointed traffic cop of Capital Ave in Lincoln athletic ability shown through on the golf course, racquetball and handball court, on the ice playing Hockey, weightlifter and competing in a 200 mile bike race on Belle had the biggest heart and told the best stories (most of them true)Dad considered himself the comedian of the family which included……nieces and nephews and their children and their McMaster clan just celebrated the 67th Annual Christmas is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Hlen Ann (Reilly) and his children Kevin (Kris), Ann (Alison) LaPointe, Jack (Martha), Larry (Colleen) and Leo. His pride and joys were his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren in which his love and laughter will live forever through them.
