Leo Lambert, 86, of Peru, died July 19, at his home.

Mr. Lambert was born on September 2, 1923, in Chicago, to Leo and Melvina (Blais) Lambert. He was a salesman in the restaurant supply business for 40 years until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II, serving in the European Air offensive. He married Esther Coutts, on April 24, 1986, in Sedona, Arizona. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Peru Elks Club, American Legion, and volunteered as a Red Coat at Illinois Valley Community Hospital (IVCH). He was a former board member at Tolentine Retirement Home.

Mr. Lambert is survived by his wife, Esther, of Peru, three daughters, Candace (Arthur) Blakemore, of Tempe, Arizona, Cathleen (William) Bielby, of Union Pier, Michigan, and Karen Sellers, of New Lenox, Illinois, two sons, David (Trudi) Coutts, of Naperville, Illinois, and Scott (Lisa) Coutts, of Issaquah, Washington, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Vivian (Bob) Eisenbrandt, of Nashville, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline (Kinsella) Lambert, and one sister, Juanita VanHazebroeck.
