Lenore J. Schrowang, 93, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022 at her home in Newnan. She was born on June 13, 1929 to Charles Rees, Sr. and Helen Ciencinka Rees in Chicago Heights, Illinois. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two younger brothers. Lenore graduated from St Joseph Nursing School in 1950. She worked as a private nurse until moving to California with her husband, Joe. She continued her nursing career at PIH in Whittier as Head Nurse of Nursery/NIC unit and then later at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. When she and Joe moved to Newnan in the late 90’s, she participated in several ministries at St. George Parish which included assisting Sr. Bridget Ann with their Pre-school. She also mentored several students in the Coweta County Public School System. She is survived by her daughter, grandson, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter.
