Moma’s Eulogy
1-21-2022

I would first like to thank Megan and Karsten and the Entire Horan McConaty Organization.
These  are beautiful people and have done a magnificent job in assisting my Sister and I in commemoration of our Mothers Life
Lenore Anne Ewing-Wade
*
Moma was always known as Anne to friends, and neighbors,
Aunt Anne to Nephews and Nieces
Anne to her Brother and Sisters
Anne to her Mother and Father, Grand mothers and Grand fathers

Oh and her most cherished titles were that of Mama, Grandma, and Grandma Maco to my Sisters Children
*
She was born on the 21st of January 1934 to (Wilhelmina) Minnie Rose and William Elmer Ewing

She lost her father when she was just 15 years old to heart disease.  This had a dramatic effect on her as one can expect.   She adored her father.
Her Mother passed away in 1987 and she loved her dearly as well.

*
In one of my last conversations with my mom.  She was asked if she knew who I was, she proudly said that is my Daddy.  I was blessed with his look.
*
She joined her Mother and Father along with all of her siblings on January 6 at or about 230 pm as Stephanie held her hand.

There were times when there was little or nothing to eat and we would sit around the dining room table reading the word of God.
*
She prayed constantly for us even in her last days
… and Mama’s prayers were always answered.
*

When she took her last breath in this world she passed to the presence of God.
*
I believe she is smiling right now knowing that her prayers are still being answered.
*

However, we will join her sooner than we might be expecting
Time thus Life is fleeting
*
The bible in Psalms 90 verse 10  Tells us that we are all given 3 score and 10 years (70) and if by any reason of strength they are 80 years
Yet there boast is in labor and sorrow
*
Mama passed on just 15 days shy of her 88th birthday which is today (21 Jan 2022).
*
Also it is said and I do believe that
the loss of your mother no matter how old you are changes your life forever.
Your mother is your protector who keeps you safe and secure
You never really get over the loss, you learn to live with it,
and she is never far away from your thoughts and she is always in your heart
*

In closing Not everyone is given the chance to grow old.
So, appreciate and thank God for every single day of life.
*
Thank you for listening and thank you for coming and honoring our mother.
