Lena A. Weaver 78 of Independence died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born February 19, 1938, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late Everett and Ethel Layton Myers.
Mrs. Weaver was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Mt. View United Methodist Church and loved to cook. She and her husband lived in Columbus, OH for 45 years where they both worked for Bordon’s Dairy and while there were members of the Square Wheels, a square dancing group.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Weaver, two sons, Donald Weaver and his wife, Pam of Mt. Gilead, OH and Daniel Weaver of Westerville, OH; a daughter, Cindy Zeigler and her husband, Gary of Newburg; three brothers, Art Myers of Painesville, OH, Lonnie Wiles in Maryland and Terry Wiles of Arthurdale; 4 grandchildren, James Weaver, Jeff Weaver, Eric Zeigler and Melissa Stuchell and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lena Marie Weaver.
