He was an self-employed agricultural worker and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly Hollinger of Douglas, GA; three sons, Steven Godfrey of Douglas, GA, Matthew Cory Godfrey of Douglas, GA and P.J. Godfrey Jr of Douglas, GA.; brother, Tony Parker Jr of Douglas, GA; one grandchild, Rayne Godfrey; several nieces and nephews.
Memorialization is by cremation.
