Lemoine F. “Ted” King, 85, passed away Saturday April 13, 2013 in Franklin.
He was a resident of Franklin.
Ted was born Feb. 5, 1928 in Frankfort to David W. and Merle E. (Cornelison) King.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII.
Ted and Shirley were married Nov. 15, 1980 in Warren, Ohio; they were married for 32 years.
He was a corporate pilot for 30 years, working for various companies. He flew over a million miles during that time. Before becoming a pilot, he was a barber.
Ted enjoyed sailing, golfing and traveling. He was creative when doing home projects. His faithful dog, Allie, was his best friend.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Vail) King of Franklin, two children, Elaine (Richard) Wilson of Florida, Wanda (Bill) Murphy of Greenfield, three stepchildren, Mike (Amy) Kay of Avon, Brian (Julie) Kay and Karen Rodgers both of Indianapolis, five siblings, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bill, Bob and Bernie King.
