Leland R. Booker, of Bedford, passed away peacefully on the early morning of August 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 63 years old.
Lee entered this life on April 8, 1958 in Seymour Indiana. He was the last born to the loving parents of Lovell and Kathleen (Cornwell) Booker. He grew up in Campbellsburg, Indiana, and was a graduate of West Washington High School, Class of 1976. He later moved to Bedford and went to work as a machine operator for Otis Elevator. After retiring from Otis Elevator, he started a Booker’s Lawn Care and ran the company for 18 years.
On December 1, 2006, Lee married the love of his life, Lisa (Franks) Booker. She survives at the home. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and Papaw. Lee was a member of the former Eagles Club of Bedford, the Bedford Boat Club, and the VFW of Mitchell Post 9107. He was and avid fisherman, a great euchre player, and loved riding on his mower.
Lee leaves a legacy of love with his wife, Lisa Booker of Bedford, daughter, Kristian Brummett and her husband Corey of Williams, step-children Mindy Ryan and her husband Rocky of Commiskey and Kevin Grigsby of Commiskey, grandchildren, Johnathan, Mandy, Emma, and Randy Brummett, Kasen, Weilant, and Taegan Booker, and Malik Cornett, and Traey Ryan, a sister, Sally Shaffer of Brownsburg, Robert Booker of Orleans, and Ronnie Booker and his wife Connie of Norman, and sister-in-law Debbie Landreth.
He was preceded in death by his son Robert Booker, parents, and two brothers, Raymond Booker and Don Landreth.
