Leland B. Eggleston, 94, formerly of Three Oaks, Michigan, died October 30, 2007 at Metron of Bloomingdale. Leland was born January 25, 1913 in Three Oaks, Michigan to Frank B and Jessie E. (Eckert) Eggleston. On January 14, 1933, he married Grace Lowe in South Bend, Indiana. Grace preceded him in death on September 28, 2002.
Leland farmed for most of his life and was employed by the Horness Chair Company in Three Oaks. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Three Oaks. Leland enjoyed the outdoors, taking walks, and fishing trips.
Survivors include his sons, Carl (Loretta) Eggleston of Grand Falls, Newfoundland, Canada and Richard (Nancy) Eggleston of Otsego, Michigan; grandchildren, Kim (Don) Milroy of Florida, Renee (James) Clum of Belding, Michigan; Tracy Bessey of Bradenton, Florida; and Leland (Deanna) Eggleston of Arlington, Texas; great grandchildren, Alexandria Clum and Austin Eggleston; and sisters, Beulah (Richard) Shafer and Jenice Halstead both of Battle Creek, Michigan. Leland was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Dean, and a daughter-in-law, Jackie Schmidt Eggleston.
